Chopard LA STRADA wrist watches news:
I think of the Casio G-Shock GW056A as the G-Shock for people who don't like G-Shocks. It's certainly the most subtle and unrecognizable G-Shock currently in the lineup, and most importantly, the slimmest. It has the same octagonal case as many of the older G-Shocks (and the new retro tribute G-Shocks), but the brushed stainless steel bezel makes the shape much more pronounced. In fact, the shape is the first thing you notice about the GW056A. My wife calls it my Battlestar Galactica watch because the unconventional shape is similar to the shape paper will apparently assume if the world is ever destroyed by Cylons (of course, I'm talking about the new Battlestar Galactica).Click on the above text for the full article at WatchReportwatches-dealer.No items matching your keywords were found.
Hello,Im a real amature on watches, just bought a used 2254 Seamaster chronometer after selling my lovely Submariner. Wanted a bigger watch this time and i just love the Omega. When i picked it up att the sellers house i just looked it over on the outside, all papers are ok and so on. I trusted the seller so i did not check the time accuracy. Big misstake**** me, i always trust people....My watch is to fast.. bigtime.. about 4 sec every minute...Do you think it is magnetized? If so is it expensive to fix this? The seller was not a shop but i have the warrenty fron Throggs NeckJewelers i USA. Dont know when this watch was sold new, can you tell by looking at this warrentycard? Why do they sometime not fill in the date on the warrentycard?Best regardsJohn
from europastar:NEWS Seiko to lead the watch industry by switching to mercury-free batteries. February 20, 2008 With its unique Spring Drive and Kinetic technology and its industry-leading initiatives in compliance with global regulations and standards, (including the EU WEEE, Nickel and RoHS Directives), Seiko has always been at the forefront of environmental actions in the watch industry. In 2007/08, Seiko will again reduce the environmental impact of its products by converting to the use of mercury-free batteries in advance of changes in button battery regulations in the world.Mercury: A dangerous element It has long been recognised that mercury is a noxious and dangerous substance and the usage of mercury batteries has been banned for many years in most countries. However, exceptions have always been made for button-type watch batteries because of the very low levels of mercury they contain and because mercury's anticorrosion properties contributed to the overall product safety.
