Hublot's creator, Carlo Crocco, grew up in an Italian family of watchmakers. He had designed his first watch by 1967. In 1980 he followed in his families footsteps and set up his own company, MDM Geneva. That same year he created the first Hublot watch, it featured a gold porthole shaped watch case and incorporated both polished and brushed metal on a black rubber bracelet. This was the first watch in the history of watchmaking to have a natural black rubber bracelet.
In 2004, Jean-Claude Biver - who has worked for (Audemars Piquet, Omega and Swatch Group) became of CEO and board member of Hublot. The next year Biver set up a new collection, the Hublot "Big Bang" chronograph, that was presented in Basel in April 2005.

I really hate these threads so I'm cringing as I write this but this is something that is in my mind. I received my annual bonus this year and lets just say Alot more After holding off for over a year I am going to have the opportunity to take the first step and rewarding myself with my first fully self funded luxury watch. This watch will be my new daily wearer and I have two targets in mind a blue dialed RO or a Rolex blue stick dial DJ2 with smooth bezel. Besides all of the differences which I think I am aware of my question is will the AP have the same reliability to daily wear. While I have a pretty laid back desk job I would say I like to wear my watch care free. So here is my question... If reliability was the only factor for a daily wearer do you see any difference between Rolex and AP?
So I just pulled the trigger on this PO and I'm loving it. I was worried about the size since I have small hands, but I think I'm pulling it off. I haven't resized it yet. What do you guys think? A link, half a link, or should I just leave it as is? I don't mind the current setup as I like my watches a little loose, since I never remove them even when asleep. I'm just concerned that if I leave it this loose, it would damage (stretch?) the bracelet. Any insight would be highly appreciated.
Desperately need your guidance on whether to buy the Black GMT or Batman. I am trading in my Air King which I have had for 9 years. My heart is set on Batman, which I have found (5 - 6 hour round trip drive from my house). However, my local AD includes the first overhaul for free with any purchase. Naturally the local AD doesn¡¯t have Batman, just the Black GMT. Does anyone else think about total cost of ownership or am I overthinking this. I could always trade in the Batman in 7 years for a different/ new model thus negating the overhaul value of the negotiation. Any help you can provide is appreciated. I need to add one link to a few watches. Yacht-Master 16222 and 16220, Milgauss 116400, and Explorer II 216570. Would a more knowledgeable forum member please let me know the parts I¡¯m looking for? Can I use a link from a newer-model PCL YMII in the Milgauss? I understand that my 16610 has a different bracelet than the 216570, so I guess I¡¯m wondering which bracelets use which links.
