- 100% in appearance, value and features but as always one has to be careful of good jewelery so not to scratch it. This is a beauty and well worth the nominal price asked. Glad it was offered, very glad I bought it. Tahnks.

[Mod's Edit: Craig / All - this post has been copied to the American Watch Forum here; suggest you make your replies there. Roger].Hello Gentlemen. My name is Craig and I'm brand new to your community. My father was a watchmaker his entire life and left me with a few of his favorite pieces when he passed on several years ago. Until now, I have just left them all in the box but now I kinda need the money. But, that's not what this is about. One of the watches I listed for sale has sparked numerous "instant buy offers". It's a 14K Illinois "tank watch" with an Illinois 605 15 jewel movement. People are telling me that it is probably the rarest of the rare among the Illinois watches. Two people have told me that only a dozen of these are known to exist today. The case is a Keystone 650 14K yellow gold and the movement serial number is 5693879.The offers and bids are already 3 times what I hoped to get for the watch. So, what's my problem? IF this watch is REALLY that rare, should I
Wow absolutely amazing service. My 44mm was fixed and returned in 3 and a half weeks time. Great communication and service!
Got myself an Omega Planet Ocean 42mm. Its from within Canada so no worries about customs and duties. It's black dial with white markers and black bezel. RogerF got me looking at it again since at first I found it boring in terms of the dial, but the overall design of it is very good.Plus I also wanted the co-axial movement.I'll post pix on Thursday.
Had some time to kill today in NYC. Visited three prominent Rolex ADs and a Rolex boutique. I found one Smurf. Other than that, no subs....not even a ND. No GMTs....not a one. Only 2 of them had YMs. I find this ridiculous.I also talked to two separate managers regarding the SS Pepsi, who told me the same thing my AD has:They currently don't know how many they are getting or when. BUT...they anticipate getting 2 or 3 A YEAR. If true (I've heard this from 3 separate sources), let that sink in. And if you think your local AD will be getting more than ADs in the middle of NYC, then I have a bridge I want to sell you.
