Omega 4541.50.00 wrist watches news:
Here is my baby. A watch for the aficionado with style. Pure reserve and SEX!!! Please show me yours? I love this watch!!!;)
Hey everyone,I took a ~27 year old Submariner Stainless (transitional period model) in about 16 months ago and it was sent to Rolex for factory service. Everything was fine until about 2 weeks ago when the watch simply quit altogether. I took it back to the jeweler that originally sent it to Rolex and their in-house jeweler opened it up to see what was wrong and did something to fix it.Now, the watch makes an odd clicking noise if you shake it lightly and if you shake it more vigorously you can hear a whirring noise that sounds like what I think a noisy winder might sound like. Now, I've had the watch for ~17 years of it's life and have never heard a peep out of it excpet for the slight ticking that can be heard if you hold it up to your ear in a quiet room. This clicking and whirring can't be right, and so I'm taking it back in, but I'm curious what the noises might be.Thoughts?
Once or twice a year I catch the band of my watch on something (I'm a Carpenter); knock the pin(s) out and loose the watch. I've been wearing a Casio divers watch which is inexpensive, robust and easy to read. I've dropped more of those than I care to remember into one abyss or another. So I have a two part questions:Can those pins be toughen somehow?Should I go to a none pinned watch like the Bertucci? If so; other recommendations would be appreciated.RegardsDave
Hi guys,I have really started to take an interest in the Omega Planet Ocean line and I am finding all of the different models a bit confusing to organize in my head. I am sure I could research it, but sometimes it is better to ask the experts:)I am also coming from the Rolex world, where other than the LVc, the SS Submariner (option-wise) is much like the Model T...you can have any color and bracelet option you want as long as it is black on oyster. Here is what I have gathered so far... (Models Currently in Production)1. There are two possible movements: 2500 or 8500, but does the movement determine the bezel material? It seems like 2500 is an aluminum bezel, but 8500 is a ceramic bezel (but not necessarily liquid metal).2. There are two possible sizes: 42mm and 45.5mm, but are both sizes available in both aluminum and ceramic bezel models?3. There are a couple dial options: White 6,9,12 or Orange 6,9,12, but are they both available with all bezel and size options?4. I understand the l
So Basel starts Thursday 3/22 (although there may be a press day on Wed 3/21 at nights?).That's roughly 34 days from now. With a lot of companies, we will begin to see Pre-Basel introductions of new models. With Rolex, not so much.Maybe a few cryptic teasers. When will the information be available to the public? Will Rolex update its site first on 3/22 or will people who visit Basel have to post on our forum to let us know what models are new (even if they post pics weeks later)?
