Rolex 178279 wrist watches news:
Calling all Paneristi: the first of Panerai’s new crop of watches to be launched at next month’s SIHH watch fair in Geneva has been revealed: it is a split-seconds chronograph in a titanium case, bearing the reference number PAM00530 and the name Luminor 1950 Rattrapante 8 Days Titanio. The watch’s split-seconds chronograph function (also known as a rattrapante) has a vertical clutch and twin column wheels. It operates two hands that are superimposed and partially independent: the first is entirely controlled by the pusher at 8 o¡¯clock, which starts, stops and resets the chronograph hand; the second, controlled by the button at 10 o¡¯clock, is used for measuring partial times or a second event simultaneous with the first. The hand of the small minutes counter moves in jumps, rather than continuously, which Panerai says makes it easier to read. The movement that powers these and the watch’s other functions is Panerai’s P.2006, entirely developed and assembled
I've been interested in a Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope since they first came out several years ago. I recently noticed that Junghans has modified the Max Bill designs for their Meister series adding metal indicies and switching the ¨¹ber-thin bauhaus hands for dauphin hands. This changes the look from a German Bauhaus 1960's to more of a general European 1950's style similar to the retro-50's style seen in the recent Tissot Visodate and Orient 60th Anniversary models. Which dial design would you go for: I'm most interested in the silver/white dials rather than the black dialed versions I avoid silver hands on black dials due to legibility issues. 1) Max Bill Chronoscope dial with date. You Bauhaus ¨¹ber-purists out there may balk at this but I want/need a date feature: 2) Max Bill Chronoscope dial with date and numerals. Not as strikingly minimalist as the first dial, but still Bauhaus. I like how the date window seems to blend in with the numerals and isn't as noticeable as in the
I picked a Wyler up the other day that I know nothing about. I always have enjoyed the type of hands that this one has. Sure can't find much on the net about this particular one. Is there a way to determine the age of it? Not sure the hands can be cleaned but will check with my watch guy when I get a chance. It seems to run like a top! Any insight is appreciated.P1050901_edited-1 [800x600].jpg
